Winter Pond Skating Session

Timeless, classic images are the ones that we look back on years and decades later, the ones we frame and hang, and look at everyday with smiles on our faces. It’s the capturing of the little moments, the joy and feelings of being in the moment of that day, of a particular time together.

There’s truly nothing more timeless and classic - or Canadian! - than family Winter pond skating. Enjoying and embracing Winter, being a family together, a shared love of activity and gold, old fashioned, family fun.

Against the backdrop of a private family farm’s pond, it’s becomes literally a scene from a movie.

This Winter pond session with the Bird family will forever be one of my favourites and treasured. The simplicity, emotions and scenery all came together and I’m honestly not sure who had the most fun.

I can’t wait for the years and decades to come, for their kiddos to look back on these photos and remember this afternoon, how much they are loved, and the fun we had together.
